Ambassadors for Economic Independence (AFEI) - Is a giving circle designed to create economic independence for low-income, women-led families of the Washington region through 'community-based' grant making in educational scholarships, entrepreneurship grants/micro loans, childcare and transportation stipends, and temporary housing assistance for domestic violence victims. Renowned gospel artist (former R&B) Dr. Melba Moore served as the 'Chief' Ambassador and we are seeking individuals with a passion for social change to join us to support this unique 'philanthropic' opportunity.
