AFEI Grant Program
Small grants can create meaningful momentum. The AFEI Giving Circle provides financial support to women pursuing education, professional development, entrepreneurship, financial stability, and community impact as part of their journey toward greater economic independence.
What We Fund
AFEI grants are intended to support clear, practical uses of funding that can help women move forward personally, professionally, economically, or within their communities.
Business & Entrepreneurship
Start or grow an income-generating business, venture, or entrepreneurial project.
Education & Professional Development
Support education, training, certification, skill-building, or other professional-development goals.
Financial Hardship
Address a documented financial challenge that creates a barrier to employment, education, stability, or economic progress.
Community Impact
Support a project or initiative designed to create meaningful benefit within a community.
Who Is Eligible?
Applicants should review the requirements carefully before submitting an application.
Age & Applicant Requirement
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and identify as women.
Complete Application
Applications must be submitted by the stated deadline and include all requested information and required documentation.
Clear Use of Funds
Applicants must describe how the grant will be used and how the requested funding supports the stated goal or need.
Commitment to Accountability
Applicants selected for funding must agree to use the grant only for the approved purpose and comply with reporting and documentation requirements.

Review the Guidelines
Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and that your proposed use of funds aligns with the grant program.
Prepare Your Information
Gather the information and documentation needed to explain your financial need, goal, project, or intended impact.
Submit Your Application
Submit the complete AFEI Grant Application by March 31 for June awards or September 30 for December awards.
Complete Registration
A $25 grant registration fee is due when the application is submitted. Registration fees help support future AFEI grant awards.
If You Receive a Grant
Grant recipients become part of an accountability process designed to document how funding was used and what impact it created.
Use of Grant Funds
- Use grant funds only for the purposes approved in the application.
- Request written approval before making material changes to the proposed use of funds.
- Do not use grant funds for illegal activities, personal luxury expenses, or unapproved purposes.
- Maintain receipts, invoices, or other records that document appropriate use of funds.
Impact Reporting
- Submit a written report or video testimonial within 60 days of using the grant funds.
- Summarize how the funds were used.
- Describe outcomes achieved and any challenges encountered.
- AFEI may invite recipients to share their experiences at events or in communications.
Grant Terms & Accountability
These provisions help protect the integrity of the grant program and ensure that funds are used for their approved charitable purpose.
Compliance & Documentation
AFEI may request receipts, invoices, or other documentation to verify appropriate use of grant funds.
If funds are misused or used for purposes not stated in the approved application, AFEI may request repayment and may disqualify the recipient from future funding opportunities.
Publicity & Confidentiality
By accepting an AFEI grant, recipients may grant AFEI permission to use their name, likeness, testimonial, photos, or other submitted materials for appropriate promotional and educational purposes.
AFEI respects the confidentiality of personal and financial information provided during the application process and will not disclose such information without consent except as required by law.
Termination of Grant
AFEI may terminate a grant if:
- The recipient fails to comply with grant terms and conditions.
- The application contains fraudulent or materially misleading information.
- The recipient is unable to fulfill the obligations described in the approved application.
Any unused grant funds must be returned if the grant agreement is terminated.
General Provisions
- AFEI may update grant terms and conditions and will communicate material changes to affected recipients.
- Grant applicants are responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable grant requirements.
- AFEI decisions regarding applications, award amounts, and approvals for use of funds are final.
- Submission of an application does not guarantee an award.
